Job searching has always felt like a second full time job, one where most of the effort disappears into things that don’t actually move you closer to an offer. Sorting through postings, checking whether a role is still open, remembering who you already applied to, figuring out which conversations are still active. I wanted something that handled that busywork automatically, so I could spend my energy on the parts that actually matter, like preparing for interviews and following up with people.
I built this using Claude’s Cowork mode, combining two features that work well together. The first is a persistent dashboard, a simple tracker that lives right in the browser and holds every role I’m considering, along with its status, pay, and a link back to the posting. The second is a scheduled search that runs on its own, checking job boards and company career pages a few times a day and adding new qualifying roles to that same dashboard, without ever touching the entries I’ve already updated.
What made this worth building was the discipline it forced into the process. Every role gets checked against real criteria before it’s added, pay bar, location, whether the posting is even still live, rather than me relying on gut feeling or a half remembered search from three days ago. And because my application statuses are saved separately from the search results, I can mark something as Interviewing or Rejected and know it will still be there, correctly labeled, the next time new roles get added.
